uring an abbreviated hearing in Case 002 at the ECCC on Thursday, Khmer Krom civil party Chau Ny was recalled to the stand at the request of the Khieu Samphan defense team regarding questions he posed to the accused during his previous testimony about his uncle's disappearance. In addition to responding to questions from all parties, the civil party also received an answer directly from Khieu Samphan.
In another day of split testimony in Case 002 at the ECCC on Wednesday, former Khmer Rouge official Prom Sou finished his testimony in the morning, leaving Soc Kon Chau, who testified via video from France, to finish out the day testifying as another character witness for Khieu Samphan.
During an extended hearing on Tuesday, two witnesses testified in Case 002. Prom Sou, a former Khmer Rouge official who was based in northern Preah Vihear province, was questioned in the morning by the prosecution and civil party lawyers. In the afternoon, Philippe Max Jullian-Gaufres– requested as a character witness for Khieu Samphan – was questioned via videoconference from France.
