Summary of Appeal Judgement (3 Feb 2012) (Giving a detailed summary of the Supreme Court Chamber's findings in its Appeal Judgement in Case 001. The Judgement dismisses the Defence appeal and grants in part and dismisses in part the Co-Prosecutors' appeal.  The Judgement affirms Kaing Guek Eav's conviction for the crime against humanity of persecution and enters additional convictions for the crimes against humanity of extermination (encompassing murder), enslavement, imprisonment, torture, and other inhumane acts. The Judgement enters a sentence of life imprisonment for Kaing Guek Eav. The Judgement also grants in part and dismisses in part Civil Party applications and provides a list of additional Civil Parties who have demonstrated on appeal that they suffered harm as a direct consequence of the crimes committed by Kaing Guek Eav).
